Sometimes work is just hard

During a regular day at work, we don't always deal with medical helicopters but the "birds" as we call them are one of our greatest resources.

I only bring that up because there are times when we don't use them for patients that we respond to, but on occasion we do use them for our own.

On June 24th i received a text page stating officer down, I did not know who it was or what city it happened in but my heart lept for all the Officers and deputies i work with. They are all amazing people and you build a relationship with them, and they are your family. I was later updated on who the officer was and what happened. It was Capt. Terry with lehi police department. I have talked to him on a few occasions and he always has so much care for all of the people he works with on a daily basis. He continually makes sure all the needs are met not only for officers and dispatchers but citizens that we make contact with. He will be sadly missed during his time of recovery and is in our prayers. we all hope the best for him.

Here is a picture from the scene of the incident. I was not at work when the incident happened but i did work that night. It is a hard time for all. You never truly understand until you have to go through it. I know the people this is the hardest on and will continue to be the hardest on are the officers that not only responded but the officers that were there and heard the dreaded words on the radio "Shots Fired, Officer Down." I hope this is not too much rambling but they are all in my heart. I respect everything they do to protect all of us!

Grandmas House

We went to a BBQ at grandmas house, and Kaysha decided that she was going to play with the bat, she loved it!! She also decided to try and hit the ball and spent more time hitting mom with the bat than actually making contact with the ball. I can defiantly say she will probably be a soccer girl, she loves to kick and she loves to kick her ball. So far she really loves swimming, we will be swimming in a big pool next week so let's hope that doesnt change her mind about swimming.

Kaysha and Zach went to the "mini zoo" in springville. There is a family just s of center st that has many different animals on their farm. They also have a little turn out area so you can park and walk right up to the animals. here are a few pictures....

My little swimmer

Kaysha the little swimmer, she loves the sun and the water. We plan on going to california out to the beach. i am so excited to see how she likes the ocean. Here she is at her water table.

Swings

Um so Kaysha is great at the swings, but for some reason today she decided that she wanted to stop, and just let go. so needless to say that is what this picture is of, her poor little goose egg!! it doesnt look quite as black and blue in this picture but it sticks out quite a bit!

SNAKE!!!!

Kaysha Loves her snake! She thinks snakes are just so fun! and loves every thing about them(kinda scary if you ask me)

Snake in the Kitchen

Ok so this weekend kaysha got a cute little kitchen set, that she absolutly loves. And she's been playing with it quite frequently, she will come in and say..... mom i play with my titchen. super cute. so here she is playing away... and she is holding her "snake."

Wash Up

While we were at Haley's kaysha decided she wanted Haley to teach her how to go in the potty. So Haley let her go in the bathroom and she closed the door, then Haley came back and opened the door and said time to wash hands. Kaysha Followed her every instruction! They were both too cute.

this is Kaysha, Haley and I while we were sitting on the couch watching tarzan. Kaysha and I got to go over to Haley's house and watch movies while her mom and dad were at work. The three of us had a blast!

Training

I am officially being trained....... again on the main radios that we use for work. It can be a very difficult thing to do and sometimes the officers radios are fuzzy or squeek and you cant understand them....... but according to others you learn how to understand them after a while. I was told i was "not too shabby" that made me happy to hear. I am just glad i didnt get a you stink or something like that.
